New Westpark/Lower Uptown Transit Center’s Unique Design Caters to Multiple Transit Needs

The recently completed Westpark / Lower Uptown Transit Center occupies a 2.5-acre site alongside the Westpark transit corridor. The facility serves as the southern terminus of the Uptown Management District and METRO’s jointly developed Uptown Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line, METRORapid, Houston's first bus rapid transit line. The new METRORapid Silver Line brings expedited service to the Uptown area by providing transit connections to local and express bus routes as well as while providing for high-capacity transit development in the Westpark Corridor.
