Restoring a Historic Landmark: Council 60 Clubhouse Groundbreaking

Today we break ground on the restoration of the historic Council 60 Clubhouse—one of only two sites in Houston recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Built in 1907 and home to LULAC Council 60 since 1955, this space helped shape the Mexican American Civil Rights Movement and served as a hub for advocacy, education, and community progress. As we rebuild, we honor its legacy and reimagine it as a place for connection, reflection, and action for future generations. We’re proud that RDLR Architects is part of bringing this historic landmark back to life.
